Have you ever thought you might die of thirst at a football game because it’s just way too hot outside? With our Athletic Affairs Committee’s Student Water Distribution program, you’ll feel cool, hydrated, and ready to continue to cheer the ‘Hoos on to victory.
If the temperature is projected to be 90 degrees or hotter while Scott Stadium’s gates are open at home football games, every student will receive a free ice-cold water bottle courtesy of Student Council. Just come to our table at the top of section 101, show your student ID, and get your hand stamped to get your water bottle. We will be staffing the table from the time the gates open all the way until the end of the third quarter, so come by whenever you want to revitalize yourself.
The decision will be made no later than 5:00 pm the Friday before each home game. Check the Athletic Affairs Committee’s page on Student Council’s website for the announcement. Come game day, be on the lookout for signs around Scott Stadium directing you to our table if the program will be implemented during that day’s game. And of course, please recycle your bottle in one of the bins located around Scott Stadium.
Come early, be loud, and support your ‘Hoos! We hope to see you behind Section 101 soon!
