Homecomings 2011: The Tradition Returns!

..

When is Homecomings 2011 Homecomings Week 2011 is Wednesday, October 12th through Sunday, October 16th. Virginia Football hosts Georgia Tech on Saturday, October 15th (kickoff at 3:30pm). The week begins on Wednesday because Fall Break is the weekend before.

About Homecomings 2011 ..UPC and Student Council are bringing the University of Virginia tradition of Homecomings back to the student body this year for the first time since 2006. Homecomings in recent years at the University has been a huge event for alumni thanks to the work the Alumni Association has done, but the student body has noticed a lack of student Homecomings celebrations. This year, wherever you are on Grounds, we expect that you’ll be surrounded by people celebrating the University and what it means to be a Cavalier. All UPC and Student Council committees and several CIOs are working to bring over a dozen initiatives and events to you throughout the week.

Major Sponsors ..Thank you to the Alumni Association, UVA Dining, the Parent’s Committee, and the College Council for their generous support!
