Student Council is at its best when it sees needs and addresses them, identifies problems and fixes them, or when it sees the way things could be and tries to make them come to pass.
Is there a need? Are there problems? Let us know that the headphones in the libraries are uncomfortable, or that you wish there were game-day shuttles to home football games, or that you feel very strongly about not paying for gym access during the summer. Some of these things we can fix ourselves, putting our committees and representatives on the case. Some of these issues aren’t under our control, but we’ll take your voice and your comments and complaints and personally reach out to the people who are in charge of these things.
Student Council has talent and resources, but we can’t be successful without student participation.
So use SpeakUpUVA. Send us an email, shoot us a text or give us a call. Let us know the things that you like and the things that frustrate you and the things you wish could be changed.
We’re here to be of use to the Student Body and the University of Virginia. Let us know so that we can better be of service.
