Hello, Cavaliers:
StudCo here. Your one and only source on the fabulous lives of Charlottesville’s elite.
As the semester comes to a close at the University of Virginia, SpeakUpUVa posts slowly begin to dwindle as students leave Grounds for the holidays. Baby, it’s cold outside, but StudCo’s gossip is always getting hotter.
“Please Don’t Stop the Music”: You asked, we heard you. Word just in that the Student Council Arts Committee extended the hours in the music practice rooms from 11 AM-11 PM on Sundays. And with the new Wi-Fi you can keep your gossip blasts coming in all night long.
Spotted: “It”-students starring weekly in the Cav Daily. But only the most committed to public service make the cut. This past semester the Public Service Spotlight highlighted students volunteering for SEED, Pancakes for Parkinson’s, Engage UVa, and many more organizations. Get the scoop at http://www.uvastudentcouncil.com/public-service-spotlight/.
We’re almost at that time of year again for New Year’s resolutions. Here’s what made the top of our to-do list for 2012:
1) The A-School is the only place for A-listers. If you can find it, that is. The best organic Arts Café on Grounds is the place to see and be seen.
2) “Arts Madness” is anticipated to be the event of Spring Semester. Let us know if you want to join in on the fun.
3) The Public Service Conference promises to be the place to mix with the best and brightest philanthropic minds. If public service is your passion, make sure your CIOs are VIPs.
And keep those requests coming in on SpeakUpUVa…we can make your resolutions become reality.
Where have we been?
And who are we?
Those are secrets we’re free to tell.
You know we love you…
XOXO, StudCo
Keep us posted,
