Carrie Capps Marketing and Communications Committee Chair
Carrie is also on Third Year Council, specifically on the Technology and Communication Committee and is the Chief Marketing Intern for HungryHoo.com. When she isn’t marketing things, she enjoys thumb wars, James Bond films, making jokes, and complaining about the gym. Students can expect efficient and visually-pleasing advertising for events from her and M&C this year, but also great stories and friendship as she enjoys meeting people from her different marketing outlets.
The Marketing & Communications Committee is responsible for:
Promoting Student Council. This includes the creation of posters, displays, handouts, press releases, speeches, videos, and much more.Supporting Student Council’s standing committees as needed. M&C is a resource for the communication of events, activities, and initiatives that come from any of the committees.
Encouraging participation and feedback from the student body. Outreach efforts to encourage attendance at Council meetings, the sharing of ideas to better the university community, and to communicate the resources that Student Council has to offer. Most importantly, we manage www.SpeakUpUVa.com
