Technology Committee

Committee initiatives include:

• Speak Up UVA: a forum for students to suggest ideas to the entire student body that improve University life. Because new ideas instantly appear on the home page, students can quickly create awareness about issues and gain support from their peers. Anyone can anonymously post ideas, vote on existing suggestions, or make comments. Combined with feedback posted by StudCo members, the site’s focuses on interaction between StudCo and the student body. StudCo members contribute to the site by responding to ideas and often adopting them as well.
• StudCoLIVE: Livestreaming Student Council Meetings on the web to make Student Council more accessible to students and increase transparency
• SOURCE improvement project: examines the current state of the SOURCE website and works with the administration to make the system easier to use for students, faculty, and staff.
• Committee outreach: we work with all the committees to help them use technology in their initiatives and streamline their  work.
