The Memorial for Enslaved Laborers Committee, in collaboration with UCARE, The Black Student Alliance, the Organization of African Students, Student Council – Diversity Initiatives, and the NAACP Chapter of the University of Virginia are proud to present Present: Preserving our Past, Framing our Future: An Open Forum dedicated to educating and discussing the progress of our ongoing project.

Come out learn about the Memorial for Enslaved Laborer Committee, the history of the project and current projects we have in mind! Members of the committee will present what we been doing the past two years, and where we hope to go. There will also be time for Q&A, and discussion.

Professor Claudrena Harold, member of MEL’s Faculty Advisory Committee, will be there to share her thoughts.
