The students of The University of Virginia are proud to announce the first ever University Unity Project. The 2008-2009 Unity Project will be a yearlong effort to focus on the community that exists beyond the Grounds of our University. It is a challenge to fuse our roles as students and citizens and to realize a sense of ownership and belonging in this community, as well. The Unity Project will seek to allow the potential of this institution’s student body to coalesce into an immense, cohesive effort. This is a call for every student and every student organization to invest themselves in this project and in the community beyond our Grounds.
We’ll be kicking off this year’s Unity Project with the Farmer’s Market in just a few days.
