After thorough discussion between the Executive Board of the Student Council and Student Council Vice President for Organizations Kayla Wherry, the current Leadership Consultant program residing in the Student Activities Center of Newcomb Hall will be dissolved to create the CIO Consultant Committee under the supervision of the Student Council Vice President for Organization.
The CIO Consultant Committee will consult with and provide an informational basis for Contracted Independent Organizations (CIOs) on Grounds, assuming many of the responsibilities currently held by the Leadership Consultant program. As members of a Committee under Student Council, the positions will be voluntary under the discretion of the Student Council Vice President for Organizations. Those students that wish to remain under paid employment will assume new and different jobs under the Newcomb Hall Managing Staff and will no longer be under Student Council jurisdiction.
The Committee will consist of two student Co-Chairs appointed by the Vice President for Organizations, with the Committee body formed from six to twelve student members. As with other Committees on the Student Council, Co-Chairs will be approved by the Cabinet before assuming office.
