InstaGreen | UVA Student Council

Are you constantly documenting and sharing your life through your phone’s camera? Do you think any picture can be made into art by applying the right filter? Do you want to make UVa a cleaner place for the Charlottesville community and for the planet?  If so, then Stud Co and UVa Sustainability’s new Litterati Campaign is for you!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Find some litter
  2. Instagram a picture of it
  3. Include #Litterati and tag @SustainableUVa
  4. Throw away, recycle, or compost the litter
  5. Repeat until April 22—Earth Day!

UVa Sustainability plans to make an awesome display of all the submitted photos during Earth Week and every participant will be entered into a raffle to win some sweet prizes. Participating in this campaign will also give the Student Council Sustainability Committee the data it needs to get the additional trash and recycling bins that students have been requesting around grounds.

Improving UVa and the environment has never been easier. LITTER-ally. Trash is all around us. All you have to do is document it, share it, and help us clean it up piece by piece
