Lighten Up Campaign
Are you scared of the dark? Do you think that your apartment or house needs lighting? Let Student Council’s Safety & Wellness Committee help you Lighten Up!
The Lighten Up campaign is designed to help students who feel that their off-Grounds housing area is not properly lit. This initiative will promote lighting assessments of off-Grounds housing areas, and free lighting will be provided by property managers or Student Council no more than two weeks after the initial lighting assessment. This initiative allows for students to take ownership of their safety, and provides a safer environment for students that commute and live in off-Grounds areas.
Students concerned about the lighting provided by their off-Grounds housing property managers may fill out a Lighten Up application in the form below or pick up an application at the Student Council office on the first floor of Newcomb Hall. Completed applications should be submitted online. The easy application process and quickness in providing lighting are incredible efforts to ensure off-Grounds safety for all students.
