We are showcasing eight of the University’s most exciting thought-leaders on the Old Cabell Hall stage to share their greatest ideas with the University community. Here’s the catch: each of these professors must limit their talk to under 12 minutes.

You tell us which professors you want — and we’ll listen — to create a superhero lineup of some of the biggest and brightest names at U.Va.

Inspired by TED — a conference that began in 1984 and whose scope has broadened to bring together the world’s leading thinkers and doers in various fields for talks ranging “Spaghetti Sauce and How it Relates to Happiness” to “The Mathematics of War” to “How to Grow Fresh Air.”

TED pioneered short talks by limiting speakers to under 18 minutes: long enough to make a point, short enough to make you want to learn more.

Nominations have closed. Here are the results!
