Bus Schedule

Buses will run on the following schedule.
Departure and pickup location for all buses is at Old Dorms.

Buses may be cancelled due to lack of requests

All buses leave at 2pm and return at 6pm.

Fall Break:

(Friday)October 8th bus going to airports,
(Tuesday) October 12th bus returning back to Charlottesville.

Thanksgiving:

(Tuesday) November 23rd bus going to airports,
(Sunday) November 28th bus returning back to Charlottesville.

Winter Break:

Deceember 17th bus going to airports,
Jan 19th bus returning back to Charlottesville.

Spring Break:

(Friday) March 4th to airports,
(Sunday) March 13th returning to Charlottesville.

The trip to Richmond Airport takes an hour and a half so please pick a shuttle time accordingly. Buses will leave on time. Please note that traffic is an unforeseen circumstance, and if that is of concern, please try to choose an earlier bus time. Buses can also be canceled due to low demand.

Ticket Sales

Tickets go on sale September 1. There are 32 seats on each bus and tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Each ticket is a one-way ticket.

Come, Call, Click

Come to the Student Activities Center between 9 am and 4:30 pm to purchase your ticket with cash, Cavalier Advantage, check or credit. The SAC is located on the first floor of Newcomb Hall.

Call the Student Activities Center at 434.924.7314 between 9 am and 4:30 pm to purchase your ticket with credit card. Tickets must be purchased between 9 am and 4:30 pm; however, can be picked up between 9 am and 10:30 pm.

You will be required to provide your name, computing ID, cell phone number, and home phone number.

Logistics

Please arrive twenty minutes before departure and bring your student ID and confirmation ticket or e-mail.

Buses will pick up and drop off U.Va Students on grounds at the Old Dorms Bus Stop on McCormick Road (see picture below). Students will be dropped off outside in the middle of the departure terminals and be picked up outside in the middle of the arrival terminals.

In the Event of Inclement Weather

Buses will run as long as flights are still running. In the event of inclement weather and airport closings, bus service will be canceled. If the buses are canceled, your money will be refunded, minus the service charge if tickets are purchased online. You will receive an e-mail with further instruction. Buses will not be rescheduled.
