Water Distribution Program

When the heat index (a combination of temperature and humidity) is forecast to be 90 degrees or above when the gates open to the public for a home football game, the water distribution program will be implemented.

The decision concering the implementation of the program will be made no later than 5:00 p.m. the day before each home football game. A decision to implement the program will be communicated to students through a series of student list serves and flyers around Grounds that evening, including via Twitter, Facebook, and the StudCo News email newsletter.

On the day of the game, signage directing students to the water distribution area will be placed outside and just inside the North gate. The water distribution area will be located against the brick wall above section 101. Students from the Student Council Athletic Affairs Committee will staff the area. Students who would like to receive a complimentary bottle of water will be asked to show their University ID. Each student will have a hand stamped after receiving a bottle of water to limit distribution to one bottle per student per game.
