The coolest place to be on Saturday night? Eunoia at 1500 JPA.
This year, the Student Arts committee gave away a chunk of cash to five tremendously worthy recipients… $1500 to be exact. Why? Because these recipients are talented, passionate, creative, and had a great idea for an independent student art project that would enhance the cultural experience of the other students at UVa. Hence, the Independent Student Arts Project Fund (ISAPF).
David Cook photographed the interactions of UTS bus passengers. Scotty Hardwig took a class in New York and brought the skills he learned back to Virginia. Trenley Anderson made her own books. Yamen Hana put on a fashion show. Arley Arrington lowered her carbon footprint by biking everywhere and ceasing to eat meat…and then she made art about it.
These students are brilliant.
Come see the work of this year’s ISAPF recipients on Saturday night from 7-9 PM at Eunoia on JPA. Appetizers will be served, and the arts will be on hand with their work to answer any questions you might have. Come and go as you please! Scotty Hardwig and his dancers will perform an excerpt from his show around 7:30.
